Environmental Science Center Breaks Ground in Greenville

 

The new 28,000 sf Environmental Science and Sustainability Center at Roper Mountain Science Center broke ground this fall in Greenville, SC. Designed by SKOLNICK in collaboration with Craig Gaulden Davis, the new facility, which will serve K-12 students, community organizations, families, educators, and the general public, will offer visitors an opportunity to explore local natural resources and to seek and implement solutions to environmental challenges.

Aimed to be completed in early 2021, the new center will feature STEM/STEAM-based student labs, flexible classrooms, a variety of interactive exhibits, and an on-site kitchen and cafeteria that will host classes for students with disabilities.
